Melissa Phillips is a visual designer, creative director and storyteller based in Los Angeles, California. She works with a diverse clientele focusing on human experience and clean, intentional design.
As a creative director and visual designer with over 15 years of experience, Melissa has consulted for major brands and design agencies including Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs, Interbrand, Wunderman Thompson, and a handful of nonprofits. She excels at both large-scale strategy as well as detailed work. She has over a decade of experience with design systems, in addition to UX, brand development and communication strategies. Her management style is human centered — focusing on empowering people in the short term to meet business objectives in the long term. Melissa’s work as a photographer, film director, and journalist have often contributed to her design work, both in substance and heart. Her camera has taken her across North America, Europe, India, and Haiti. She holds professional memberships with ASMP, NPPA, and SPJ, and is a contributing photographer for Redux Pictures.
